The BACB requires at least 5% of each RBT's direct service hours per month. ESBAP recommends 8-10% for meaningful oversight.
ESBAP considers 1:6 or better to be the ethical standard. Ratios of 1:8+ may compromise oversight quality.

Direct observation of sessions should be in person. Case discussions and data review can be remote, but in-person observation is essential for meaningful supervision.
