Nicole Slay is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst having received her Master's degree in Psychology with emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida State University. Upon graduating she taught over three years with the University of Florida, instructing classes on behavioral parenting to foster, adoptive and biological parents of children with developmental disabilities. She has been teaching children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders ASD in homes, schools, and clinics since 2003. During this time she has independently contracted with Florida Medicaid-Medwaiver services, Mississippi schools, and acted as Director or Behavioral Services for Spectrum Center for Autism. She has worked one-on-one with multiple children who were nonverbal, helping them sign or say their first words. Her passion has been to pass her knowledge on to parents and see them work with their child to apply ABA. She views it as a priceless gift to see what parents and children are able to accomplish.
