The Charles River Center is a nonprofit human service agency with offices in Needham and Natick, Massachusetts, providing employment and job training, residential homes, day habilitation, and recreational programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.
Founded by a group of parents of children with special needs in 1956, the mission of Charles River has always been to empower and support people with developmental disabilities by offering high-quality, individualized opportunities that foster independence and community inclusion.
The Charles River Center serves over 950 families from many communities including Ashland, Dover, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Natick, Northborough, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury, Wayland, Westborough, Canton, Dedham, Foxboro, Medfield, Millis, Needham, Newton, Norfolk, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Walpole, Wellesley, Weston, Westwood, Wrentham, Boston and many more.
